Kali Deres Station, also known as Stasiun Kali Deres in Bahasa Indonesia is a commuter station which is located approximately 15.5 km east of the Monas and other prominent attractions in the central region of Jakarta.

This station is also called ‘Stasiun Kalideres’ with no space between the two words.

Commuter Line Information for Kalideres Station

Kali Deres is the seventh station on the Brown Commuter Line if you are travelling from Duri Station all the way in the westerly direction towards Tangerang Station.

It is not possible to transfer commuter lines once you arrive at Kali Deres Station.  It is only part of the Duri-Tangerang Brown Line.

The closest transfer station is Duri Station which is located closer to central Jakarta. If you decide to transfer to the Yellow Line at Duri Station you will have the choice to travel north or to the south.The Yellow Line is quite handy if you wish to bypass Jakarta’s street traffic on the way down south to destinations such as Depok, Bogor and Nambo.

You can also travel north on the Yellow Line as well. It heads north from Duri and loops around near Ancol and then turns back south again to popular market areas such as Pasar Senen and Jatinegara which are on the eastern side of central Jakarta. These two popular markets are both located within walking distance of their respective stations on the Yellow Line.

If you travel on the Yellow line towards central Jakarta then the next station after Kali Deres is Rawa Buaya.

The distance between these two stations is about 2.5 km, with Rawa Buaya being this much closer to central Jakarta.

In the opposite direction (west) from Kali Deres Station towards Tangerang, then the next station that the train will stop at is Poris Station.

Similar to Rawa Buaya, Poris Station is also about 2.5 km away from Stasiun Kali Deres. Regardless of which way you decide to travel, the next closest station in either direction will take you a similar amount of time to get there.

What is located around Stasiun Kali Deres?

As mentioned before Stasiun Kali Deres is quite far away from the Monas and other popular sights in downtown Jakarta.

Don’t expect this area to be loaded with tourist attractions or services.

Actually, this area of the city probably hasn’t seen very many domestic or international tourists for a long time!

About 200 meters west of the station is a local market called Pasar H. Saleh. This market sort of sprawls along the southern side of the rail line. Other than that you find too much for sightseeing here.

Kali Deres Station is not particularly close to any of Jakarta’s best hotels.

Most properties in this area tend to be more catered for long term stays for local workers. Therefore, strongly consider staying closer to Jakarta’s central area.
