Cibitung Station, also locally referred to as Stasiun Cibitung in Bahasa Indonesia, is a commuter station located approximately 34 km southeast of central Jakarta and Indonesia’s national monument – the Monas.

It is located in Cibitung, Bekasi.

Commuter Line Information for Cibitung Station

Cibitung Station is a stop on the Blue Commuter Line.

This line services regularly scheduled trains from Jakarta Kota Station (located in Kota Tua) to Cikarang Station (far southeast of the Jakarta).

It is the 17th station south of Jakarta Kota Station and the last station on the Blue Line before Cikarang – the last station on Jakarta’s commuter system.

Cibitung Station is way closer to Cikarang in comparison to Jakarta Kota Station.  Expect it to be much faster to reach Cibitung from the Cikarang end of the Blue Line.

If you begin your journey from Kota Tua (Jakarta Kota Station), expect it to take you about 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes. Please take note that some trains bypass Cibitung on the way to Cikarang.

This will require you to get off at Cikarang and to re-board a different train to go back to Cibitung.

Since Cibitung is the adjacent station to Cikarang, it should only take you about 10 minutes to reach Cibitung Station from Cikarang Station. There should be no stops along the way.

Transfer Information for Cibitung Station

If you want to transfer to another commuter line other than the Blue Line, this won’t be possible at Cibitung Station.

To access the other commuter lines you will have travel all the way back on the Blue Line towards central Jakarta.

You can transfer lines at either Jatinegara or Manggarai Station.

If you make the decision to get off at Jatinegara you can choose to visit Jatinegara Market or the Jakarta Gem Market. If you transfer to the Yellow Line (Bogor-Jatinegara Line), you can travel north and visit Pasar Senen – a popular market area in central Jakarta.

If you stay on the Blue Line one station past Jatinegara you will reach Manggarai Station. At Manggarai you will have the choice to transfer to either to the Red or Yellow Line. Because there are three lines intersecting at this station, it is one of the busiest, and also one of the most convenient in the entire Jakarta commuter system.

If you transfer from the Blue Line and travel south you will be able to visit Bogor, Nambo or Depok. Travelling on the Yellow Line three stations east will bring you to Tanah Abang – a popular textile market area. Heading to the north from Manggarai will lead you to the Monas, Kota Tua and an array of museums in central Jakarta.

Closest Stations to Cibitung

If you are starting your journey Cibitung and you want to reach the next closest station towards Jakarta it is Tambun Station. There distance between these two is about 3.4 km.

If you begin at Cibitung and you want to travel farther away from Jakarta, the next closest station is Cikarang. The distance between these stations is 6.5 km.

Expect it to take a bit longer to reach Cikarang than Tambun if you are starting at Cibitung.

What is located around Stasiun Cibitung?

The area around Stasiun Cibitung Station isn’t known for attractions.

It mainly consists of pockets of residential space and local restaurants and shops. There are a few markets that you might want to check out and a shopping mall, however.

South of Cibitung Station there is a market called Pasar Induk Cibitung.

This is a traditional market with lots of fruits and vegetables and some additional budget goods. It is about 750 meters south of the station. This should take you about 10 minutes to walk there or 2-3 minutes to drive there from Cibitung Station.

Plaza Metropolitan is the closest shopping mall to Cibitung Station. It is about 1.8 km southwest of the station.   This should take you about 25 minutes to walk there or about 12 minutes to drive there from Stasiun Cibitung.

The region to the southeast of Cibitung Station primarily consists of large factories, therefore, unless you are interested in seeing where Coca-Cola and Samsung products are created you might find that area uneventful!

If you are looking for more entertainment and shopping options, then you can always consider travelling a few stations west on the Blue Line to Bekasi.
