Commuter Line Information for Daru Station

Daru is a station on the Green Commuter Line which has trains running from Tanah Abang Station (which is located about 3 km southwest of the Monas) all the way to Rangkasbitung Station (which is about about 85 km southwest of the Monas).

If you begin at Tanah Abang Station, then Daru is the 12th station along the line.

You can expect the ride from Tanah Abang to Daru Station to take approximately 1 hour and 9 minutes (69 minutes).

This of course could vary by 10-15 minutes in each direction.

Transfer Information for Daru Station

Daru Station is located far outside of Jakarta in a rural area. Therefore, you won’t be able to transfer to another commuter line at this station.

There just simply isn’t another line nearby.

Instead, travel northeast on the Green Commuter Line to Tanah Abang Station.

You can transfer to the Yellow (Bogor-Jatinegara) Line at Tanah Abang.

You can travel south on Yellow Line to reach destinations such as Bogor, Nambo and Depok. These tend to be popular with people working in Jakarta since the commuter provides another alternative to Jakarta’s traffic clogged roads during rush hour.

Taking the Yellow Line North is a smart idea if you want to access areas like Kota Tua and Ancol.

Closest Stations to Daru

If you start at Daru Station the nearest station to the east is Cilejit.

The distance between these two stations is about 2.7 km.

If you begin at Daru Station and travel towards Rangkasbitung Station, then your next stop will be at Tenjo Station.

The distance between Cilejit and Tenjo is about 3.9 km.

According to these distances, you can expect it to take a few more minutes to reach Tenjo than Cilejet if you are starting at Daru Station.

What is located around Stasiun Daru?

Stasiun Daru is located quite far away from central Jakarta, you are going to experience a much different environment here than within the city.  

The area around the station primarily consists of greenspace, farmland and small patches of residential neighbourhoods.

You will a find a few small stores mixed throughout the neighbourhoods to the southwest and northwest of the station, but no major shopping centers or markets.

If you want to get to some markets in the area, you could travel one station closer to Jakarta (east) and get off at Cilejet Station to access Pasar Nyomplong.

Alternatively, you could travel in the opposite direction to Tenjo Station and go to Pasar Rakyat Tenjo.

Also expect very few hotels and accommodation options in this area around Stasiun Daru.

Your best bet will be travelling east closer to Jakarta.
