Cikarang Station, also locally referred to as Stasiun Cikarang in Bahasa Indonesia, is a commuter station located approximately 40 km southeast of central Jakarta and the Monas – Indonesia’s national monument.

It is located in an industrial area called Cikarang, West Bekasi that is popular with employees working in Jakarta.

There are plenty of people living here that commute to and from Jakarta due to their work commitments in the capital.

Commuter Line Information for Cikarang Station

Cikarang Station is considered to be the terminal stop on Blue Commuter Line that has trains running all the way from Jakarta Kota Station (located in Kota Tua).  

If you are starting your journey from Jakarta Kota Station in Kota Tua then it will take you approximately 1 hour and 22 minutes to reach Cikarang Station using the Blue Line.

In the opposite direction from Cikarang to Jakarta Kota Station it should take you about 1 hour and 28 minutes.

Expect these times to differ depending on what time you board, how many stops are made and the number of passengers getting on and off at each station.

Transfer Information for Cikarang Station

Cikarang is the terminal stop along the Blue Line in terms of the commuter network.

You will have to travel back towards Jakarta if you want to access the other lines.

Travel all the way to either Jatinegara or Manggarai Station.

Jatinegara is ten stations away on the Blue Line, whereas Manggarai is eleven.

While at Jatinegara you can transfer to the Yellow Line (Bogor-Jatinegara Line). If you stop at Manggarai you can transfer to either the Red or Yellow Line. Manggarai is one of the busiest stations in the commuter network because three lines (Yellow, Red, Blue) intersect there.

If you start at Cikarang Station and you begin to travel towards Jakarta (and Jakarta Kota Station) on the Blue Line, the next closest station is Cibitung Station.

The distance between Cikarang Station and Cibitung Station is 6.5 km. This short trip should take you about 10 minutes on the train.

What is located around Stasiun Cikarang?

Stasiun Cikarang is located within the industrial area of Bekasi.

Therefore, the area around the station mainly consists of residential neighbourhoods, and of course, factories (and other commercial properties). There are a few sights of interest that you might want to check out in this area.

About 700 meters south of Cikarang Station is Pasar Cikarang – a local traditional market. You can walk there in under 10 minutes from the station.

Adjacent to Pasar Cikarang there is a shopping mall called Sentra Grosir Cikarang. It has a variety of restaurants and shops to choose from. It should take you about 8 minutes from the station to get to the mall.

There is also a Lotte Wholesale Cikarang Outlet about 2.5 km southeast of Cikarang Station. It should take you about 8 minutes to drive there from the station.

If you do have transport when you arrive at Cikarang Station, then you could consider driving about 12.5 km south of the station to Mall Lippo Cikarang.

It has plenty of shops and restaurants to choose from. Only about 500 meters north of Mall Lippo Cikarang there is a water park called Waterboom Lippo Cikarang. It is just a little bit closer to Cikarang Station than the mall.

Getting down to these two attractions from the station can take quite a bit of time if traffic is heavy. Expect it to take at least 25 minutes in a car, and often even more time than this during peak times!
