Cilejit is a station on the Green Commuter Line which has trains running from Tanah Abang Station (which is located about 3 km southwest of the Monas) all the way to Rangkasbitung Station (which is about about 85 km southwest of the Monas).

If you start at Tanah Abang Station, Cilejit Station will be your 11th stop on the Green Line.

A typical commuter ride from Tanah Abang to Cilejit (or vice versa) usually takes around 1 hour and 5 minutes (65 minutes).

Transfer Information for Cilejit Station

Cilejit Station is in a rural area outside of Jakarta. It isn’t possible to transfer commuter lines at this station.

Instead, you will have to head northeast on the Green Commuter Line to Tanah Abang Station.

While at Tanah Abang you can transfer from the Green Line to the Yellow (Bogor-Jatinegara) Line (and vice versa).

By choosing to go south on the Yellow Line, you will be able to access southern destinations such as Bogor, Nambo and Depok. This is a popular route for people working in Jakarta who live south of the city centre. They often bypass heavy road traffic by taking the train.

You can also travel north and also east on the Yellow Line.

You will pass popular areas in the city such as Kota Tua, Ancol, Mangga Dua, Pasar Senen and Jatinegara.

Ancol is known for its theme park, whereas the others are popular for shopping. Be prepared for busy trains during peak travel times in the morning and late afternoon as workers travel to/from their offices.

If you are starting at Cilejit Station and moving towards Jakarta (Tanah Abang) on the Green Line, then the next closest station that you will reach is Parung Panjang Station.

The approximate distance between these two commuter stations is about 7 km.

If you travel west on Green Line towards Rangkasbitung Station, then your next stop will be at Daru Station.

The distance between Cilejit and Daru is only 2.6 km.

Based on these distances, you can expect it to take more than double as long to reach Parung Panjang than Daru if you are beginning your trip at Cilejit Station.

What is located around Stasiun Cilejit?

Stasiun Cilejit is located in a rural area many kilometers outside of Jakarta. Because of this location, do not expect to find large mega malls or new architecture around the station.

If you are looking for major attractions you will have to travel closer to central Jakarta.

The area around Stasiun Cilejet mainly consist of greenspace and open farmland which is a refreshing change from Jakarta.

There is a local produce market called Pasar Nyomplong only about 160 meters south of the station which should take you under 3 minutes to walk there once you get off the train.  

Although it’s nice to see green space around Cilejit Station, one of the challenges in this area is finding suitable accommodation options for visitors.  

Expect to drive quite far to the nearest hotels.

You might want to consider looking into the 4-star Hotel Santika Premiere ICE – BSD City. It is about 19.7 km away from the station.

It’s proximity to the Aeon Mall BSD City makes it a convenient place to stay.
