Citayam Station, locally known as Stasiun Citayam in Bahasa Indonesia is a commuter train station located in Kota Depok – an area south of Jakarta.

Commuter Line Information for Citayam Station

There are multiple commuter lines that make up Jakarta’s public transport system.  

Citayam Station happens to be a stop on two of these commuter lines, the Red Line and the Yellow Line.

The Yellow Line connects passengers from Bogor, Nambo and Depok in the south to Jatinegara Station.

The Red Line connects Jakarta Kota Station in Kota Tua to Bogor Station in the south.

If you are travelling from Jakarta south towards Bogor, then there are only a few stations left on this line after Citayam Station before you reach Bogor Station.

The station directly north of Citayam Station is called Depok Station and it is about 5 km away.

If you are travelling south, then the closest station to Citayam Station is Bojong Gede Station. This is also around 5 km away from Citayam Station, expect in the opposite direction.

Transfer Information for Citayam Station

Although Citayam may not quite be as popular as a tourist destination as Bogor for instance, it is a strategic stop on the Yellow and Red Line.

The Yellow Line technically has two terminal stations in the south, both Bogor and Nambo.

Stasiun Citayam is the spot where you can transfer off trains going to Bogor or Kota Tua and transfer to trains heading towards Nambo.  

When you are travelling on either the Red or Yellow Line always be sure to check where the train is going to end up. It’s meaningless going all the way to Bogor if your destination is Nambo.

What is located around Stasiun Citayam?

The area directly around Citayam Station is not very popular with tourists, but there is a healthy mix of local restaurants and shops within walking distance of the station.

There is also a small lake called Situ Citayam that is only about 200 meters away from Citayam Station.

There are very few hotels or apartments around Citayam Station to stay at.
