Citeras is a stop on the Green Commuter Line which services daily trains from Tanah Abang Station (which is located close to the Monas) all the way to Rangkasbitung Station (which is located about 85 km to the south west of the Monas).

Citeras Station is the last stop before Rangkasbitung, therefore it is quite far from Tanah Abang.

If you are travelling from Tanah Abang to Citeras Station then the amount of time this will take will depend on which train you board.

Some trains make more frequent stops whereas others make only a few.

Expect the fastest train to take you about 1 hour and 27 minutes, whereas the slowest should take around 1 hour and 50 minutes.

Transfer Information for Citeras Station

It is not possible to transfer train lines at Citeras Station.

Due to its rural location far from central Jakarta, you will either have to continue on to Rangkasbitung Station or travel to north east to Tanah Abang.

From Tanah Abang you can access interesting attractions to the north and south of the station.

Travelling south on the Yellow Line will enable you to access destinations such as Bogor, Nambo and Depok. Travelling north and looping around will get you close to Kota Tua, Ancol, Mangga Dua, Pasar Senen and Jatinegara.

According to these distances, Citeras is the most isolated station on the Green Line with the longest distances to adjacent stations. Expect it to take a few more minutes to reach Rangkasbitung opposed to Maja if you are starting at Citeras.

What is located around Stasiun Citeras?

Stasiun Citeras is the most isolated station along the Green Line when you consider the distance to adjacent stations. It comes as no surprise that there isn’t too much development in the vicinity of the station.

Expect pockets of residential neighbourhoods surrounded by green space and farmland. There are also some small local stores and restaurants (warungs).

There is a local produce market called Pasar Citeras that is located about 500 meters south of Stasiun Citeras. You can easily walk there in about 5-6 minutes.

If you want to have more options in terms of things to check out and places to eat, then take the train over to Rangkasbitung Station.

It is much more developed there with a shopping center called Mall Rabinza only a few hundred meters south of the station.

The area around Stasiun Citeras is severely lacking in terms of accommodation choices for visitors.

You can either try to find a place to stay near Rangkasbitung Station or you can travel closer to Jakarta where there are far more hotels to choose from.

This will depend on your personal preferences and also the service standards that you expect.

The hotels in Rangkasbitung might not be the best choice for visitors expecting international level standards for comfort, cleanliness and service.
