Tigaraksa Station, also referred to as Stasiun Tigaraksa in Bahasa Indonesia, is a commuter station located in Cikasungka, Solear, Tangerang, Banten.

It is situated about 57 km southwest of the Monas. Therefore, it is quite far away from Jakarta.

Tigaraksa Station is a stop on the Green Commuter Line which services trains from Rangkasbitung Station (located approximately 85 km southwest of the Monas) to Tanah Abang Station (located approximately 3 km southwest of the Monas).

If you begin at Tanah Abang Station, then Tigaraksa is the 14th station along the line.

From the opposite direction, it is the 4th station from Rangkasbitung.

A typical commuter ride from Tanah Abang to Tigaraksa Station should take you about 1 hour and 3 minutes if you get on the non-stop train.

Expect it to take about 1 hour and 26 minutes with stops.  

Transfer Information for Tigaraksa Station

Tigaraksa Station is far away central Jakarta and the other transit lines making up the Jakarta system.

To transfer to the Yellow (Bogor-Jatinegara) Line you will have to take the Green Line all the way southeast to Tanah Abang Station.

The Yellow Line is popular because it has interesting destinations to the north and south of Tanah Abang. It is often referred to as the ‘loop line’.

If you move north on the Yellow Line you will be able to access the following popular areas: Kota Tua, Ancol, Mangga Dua, Pasar Senen and Jatinegara.

These are mainly popular shopping areas with the exception of Kota Tua and Ancol.

Kota Tua is Jakarta’s old town, whereas Ancol is especially popular with families due to its theme park.

If you move south on the Yellow Line you will have the choice to go to different destinations in the south such as Bogor, Nambo and Depok. Keep in mind that trains on the Yellow Line tend to be very busy during peak travel times such as the morning and late afternoon.

If you start at Tigaraksa Station and head east towards Tanah Abang, the next closest station is Tenjo Station.

The distance between these two stations is about 2.9 km.

In the opposite direction from Tigaraksa towards Rangkasbitung (west), your next stop will be at Cikoya.

The distance between Tigaraksa and Cikoya is about 2.6 km.

It should take you a similar amount of time to reach either Cikoya or Tenjo from Tigaraksa Station.

What is located around Stasiun Tigaraksa?

Stasiun Tigaraksa is quite far from the outskirts of Jakarta.

You can expect to see primarily farmland, open green space and pockets of residential neighbourhoods around the station.

There are also small stores and local food vendors scattered around the residential neighbourhoods. You won’t find too much development in this area around the station.   

You should also expect it be challenging to find hotels in this undeveloped area around the station.

A practical decision would be for you to stay closer to Jakarta where there are more hotels to choose from.

Hotel Santika Premiere ICE – BSD City (31.2.7 km/1 hour and 12 minutes driving)

Hotel Santika BSD City Serpong (47.5 km/ 1 hour and 18 minutes driving)

The Grantage (31.8 km/ 1 hour and 17 minutes driving).

These properties are not in Jakarta, but they are much closer to the city than Tigaraksa Station. As you can see all of these suggestions are quite far from the station and will require lots of time.

If you want 5-star service and amenities then you will most likely have to travel much closer to central Jakarta.

This area simply doesn’t offer that level of comfort for visitors.
