Commuter Line Information for Sudimara Station

Sudimara Station is located on the Green Commuter Line.

The Green Line services trains from Rangkasbitung Station (which is located about 85 km to the southwest of central Jakarta) to Tanah Abang Station (which is the closest station on the Green Line to central Jakarta).

If you are planning on starting your train ride at Tanah Abang Station and travelling southwest towards Rangkasbitung Station, then Sudimara Station is the fifth stop on the Green Line after Tanah Abang.

Expect this to take approximately 30 minutes on the commuter.

Transfer Information for Sudimara Station

Due to Sudimara’s location outside of Jakarta, it isn’t possible to transfer to another commuter line.

Instead, if you want to reach the closest transfer station you will have to travel in the southeastern direction towards Tanah Abang Station.

At Tanah Abang you can transfer trains to the Yellow (Bogor-Jatinegara) Line.

The Yellow Line is popular with commuters because it allows them to escape road heavy traffic on the way south to stations such as Bogor, Nambo and Depok.

Expect these trains to be extremely crowded during peak periods.

If you decide to travel north on the Yellow Line, you will loop around the Kota Tua area, and then pass by Ancol.

You can stay on the Yellow Line until it reaches east of central Jakarta, then you will be able to get off at popular market areas such as Pasar Senen and Pasar Jatinegara.

Both of these markets are within walking distance of their respective stations which makes it convenient for commuters.

Closest Stations to Sudimara

If you are travelling on the Green Line from Sudimara Station towards Rangkasbitung Station the next closest station that you will stop at is Rawa Buntu Station.

The distance between these two stations is about 4.6 km.

Alternatively, the next station you will stop at is Jurang Mangu Station if you are moving towards Jakarta.

The distance between these two stations is just only around 2.2 km.

It will take almost double as much time to reach Rawa Buntu Station than Jurang Mangu Station if your origin is Sudimara Station.

What is located around Stasiun Sudimara?

Stasiun Sudimara is about 25 km southwest of the Monas and its surrounding museums. Therefore, it isn’t close to most of the major attractions in Jakarta.

Visitors to this part of greater Jakarta will most likely be either for shopping or doing business.

You will have to head closer to central Jakarta if you plan on sightseeing.

You can visit a traditional market called Pasar Jombang that is only 400 meters to the north of the station. It should only take you only about five minutes to walk from Sudimara Station to Jombang Market.  

There is also a football field directly to the south of the station.

If you are interested in shopping, then considering going one station over to Jurang Mangu Station. From there you can conveniently walk over to the Bintaro Jaya Xchange Mall. This is by far the best shopping complex in this area.

If you are looking for hotels, then the area around Sudimara Station has very few to choose from!

You will most likely have to book a room at either one of these properties:

Hotel Santika Premiere Bintaro

Both of these are considered to be the best hotels in this area of the city, but don’t expect them to be close to the station.

You should be able to reach either one of these by driving for about 15 minutes or longer depending on the traffic at the time.

This area isn’t very convenient when it comes to quality accommodation options unfortunately.

If you aren’t satisfied, then travel towards Tanah Abang and central Jakarta on the Green Commuter Line.

The driving distance from Sudimara Station to Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport is around 34 kilometers and this should take you around 1 hour and 5 minutes to 1 hour and 20 minutes depending on traffic.
