Taman Kota Station, locally known as Stasiun Taman Kota in Bahasa Indonesia is a commuter station located to the west of central Jakarta.

The word ‘taman’ translates to ‘park’ in English.

Commuter Line Information for Taman Kota Station

Taman Kota is the fourth station on the Brown Commuter Line as you travel from Duri Station in the westward direction towards Tangerang Station.

It is not possible to transfer to another commuter line at this station. .

If you want to transfer go three stations west to Duri Station.

Once at Duri Station you can travel south to destinations such as Depok, Bogor and Nambo on the Yellow Line.

Trains also run north on the Yellow Line from Duri Station and loop around to east Jakarta where popular markets are located such as Pasar Senen and Jatinegara. Both Pasar Senen and Pasar Jatinegara ware conveniently located within walking distance of their respective stations.    

Closest Stations to Taman Kota

If you travel on the Brown Commuter Line eastward (away from central Jakarta) toward Tangerang, then you will first reach Pesing Station before arriving at Taman Kota Station. This is the closest station to the west of Taman Kota Station.

The distance between these two stations is only about 1.5 km.

If you go further east towards Tangerang after stopping at Taman Kota Station then you will reach the next station, Bojong Indah.

The distance between Taman Kota Station and Bojong Indah Station is about 2.4 km.

What is located around Stasiun Taman Kota?

Stasiun Taman Kota, is not particular close to central Jakarta, and therefore, it isn’t very close to the city’s most popular attractions such as the Monas, Kota Tua, Ragunan Zoo, MACAN Museum or Ancol.

This area of the city is not visited by very many foreigners tourists or expats living in Jakarta.

You also won’t find any international hotel chains in the vicinity of Taman Kota Station. Therefore, if you are trying to stay near this area you might have to choose from small budget hotels and privately owned apartments.

If you are willing to stay a bit closer to central Jakarta you will find some much better choices in terms of amenities and services.
