Fatmawati MRT Station is one of the stations of the Jakarta MRT or M1-North South MRT Line. M1-North South MRT Line is the only MRT Line in Jakarta (and Indonesia).

MRT Jakarta Station Information

The M1-North South MRT Line provides service from Bundaran HI MRT Station (only 2 kilometers south of the Monas in central Jakarta) to Lebak Bulus MRT Station (situated in an area of South Jakarta).

This MRT Line consists of a total of 13 MRT stations ranging over a total distance of 15.7 km. Since Fatmawati MRT Station is located quite far south of central Jakarta, it is built above ground. This is consistent with the other 6 southernmost stations.

The six stations closest to the Monas have been constructed underground as the line passes through more modern areas such as Sudirman, Senayan, and Thamrin. The stations are underground as the M1-North South Line runs through the central business area.

Because of these major road networks, Fatmawati MRT Station isn’t the most convenient for sightseeing or shopping in comparison to various other stations along the M1-North South MRT Line.

One of the best shopping and dining complexes near Fatmawati MRT Station is Cilandak Town Square, or CITOS for short.

Citos is about 850 meters east of Fatmawati MRT Station. It has an excellent selection of restaurants to choose from. Expect a polluted, 12-minute walk to get there because of the heavy vehicle and motorcycle traffic during peak hours. It’s probably a better idea to use Go-Jek, Grab or a taxi from here to save your lungs!

The area south of Fatmawati MRT Station mainly consists of residential space, some commercial outlets, a few hospitals, and some new developments.
