Rajawali Station, referred to as Stasiun Rajawali in Bahasa Indonesia is a commuter station located in northern Jakarta.

It is about 5 kilometers north of the Monas – Indonesia’s National Monument.

Rajawi Station is a stop on Jakarta’s Yellow commuter line which connects Jatinegara Station to Bogor, Nambo and Depok in the south. The Yellow Line is also called the ‘loop line’ in Jakarta. It is one of the busiest lines in the entire commuter system.

The direct area around Rajawali Station is quite local with few major attractions to explore.

There is, however, some good shopping opportunities in Mangga Dua that are close enough to the Station.

Mangga Dua Square is a popular shopping center that is only about 1 km from the station. If you want to go from Rajawali Station to Mangga Dua Square it should take you about 10 minutes to walk there. The driving time is similar, but expect it to take more than 10 minutes in a car if you are travelling during a busy time in Jakarta.

Also in the area is WTC Mangga Dua.  This is only about 500 meters north of Mangga Dua Square. Therefore, it makes sense to check out both of these malls on the same day if you are in the area.

The distance from Rajawali Station to WTC Mangga Dua is about 1.5 km.  Expect this to take about 20 minutes to walk, or about 15 minutes to drive.

Kampung Bandan Station is only a few hundred meters away from WTC Mangga Dua, therefore you won’t have to walk back to Rajawali Station if you don’t want to.

Another way you can access these malls opposed to walking or driving is simply taking the commuter to Kampung Bandan Station. If the commuter isn’t too busy or the wait time is reasonable, then head there and then walk south to these two malls.

Another popular hotel is Le Grandeur Mangga Dua Hotel which is located quite close to both Mangga Dua Square and WTC Mangga Dua but it is farther from Rajawali Station. Le Grandeur Mangga Dua Hotel is also within walking distance of ITC Mangga Dua, Pasar Pagi Mangga Dua, Mangga Dua Mall.

Expect the rooms at Le Grandeur to be well priced, but the rooms could use a renovation.
