Setiabudi MRT Station is a stop along the M1-North South MRT Line. This is the first MRT Line in Jakarta and Indonesia. Setiabudi MRT Station is known locally as Stasiun MRT Setiabudi in Bahasa Indonesia.
This line services trains from Bundaran HI MRT Station in central Jakarta to Lebak Lubus MRT Station in South Jakarta.
Setiabudi MRT Station is located in Tanah Abang, central Jakarta about 3.7 km south of the Monas and about 1.7 km south of Bundaran HI. It is located in the central business district of the city.

If you decide to start your journey from Setiabudi MRT Station the next closest station to the south is Bendungan Hilir MRT Station. You might also here Bendungan Hilir MRT Station being called “Benhil” for short by locals. The distance between Setiabudi and Bendungan Hilir is only 650 m.
This is one of the shortest distances between any two stations on the entire M1 Line.
In the opposite direction, if you are traveling from Setiabudi MRT Station north towards Bundaran HI and the Monas, then the next station you will stop at is Dukuh Atas MRT Station.

The two terminal stations for the M1 North South MRT Line in Jakarta are Bundaran HI (in central Jakarta) and Lebak Bulus (in South Jakarta).
Bundaran HI is only a few kilometers south of Indonesia’s National Monument – the Monas, whereas Lebak Bulus is about 15 km southwest of the Monas.
Setiabudi MRT Station is much closer to Bundaran HI opposed to Lebak Bulus. In terms of stops, Setiabudi is only two stops south of Bundaran HI, but 10 stops north of Lebak Bulus.

Don’t expect to be able to transfer from the M1 North-South MRT Line for quite some time.

Consider other transport options (TransJakarta, Go-Jek, Grab, taxi) at Setiabudi MRT Station opposed to MRT transfers for the time being.
You could also take the MRT one station north to Dukuh Atas. From Dukuh Atas you can access Sudirman Station (part of the commuter system) and BNI City Station (part of the Airport Railink to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport)

Setiabudi MRT Station is conveniently located in central Jakarta not too far from some of the best hotels, malls, restaurants and tourist attractions in all of Jakarta.
The direct area around the Stasiun MRT Setiabudi mainly consists of large corporate towers and internationally branded hotels.
To the northwest of the station, you will find Tanah Abang – one of Jakarta’s best market districts for textiles.

North of the station you will find Bundaran HI, the malls in Thamrin (Grand Indonesia, Plaza Indonesia, Thamrin City) as well as the Monas.
South of Setiabudi MRT Station are areas such as Sudirman and Senayan – both well known for excellent shopping malls such as Pacific Place and Senayan City.
